2016-2017 Community Involvement Meetings & Parent Teacher Organization

The PTO did some amazing things last year to support student success at Altura!  We ran a successful Chocolate fundraiser that helped fund equipment purchases, field trips, 4th grade History learning blocks, Field day, Missoula Theater's Pinocchio Play, and more!  We also helped support Altura staff with several of our community events like the Monster Mash, Movie Night, and the Carnival. If you enjoy giving back to your school and planning events that build a fun and unified community, then join us on the PTO. 

We meet one Thursday a month from 3:15 to 4:45pm. Here are the dates for this year:

September 22 - Welcome, Year Events Preview, Carnival planning

October 20 - Holiday Store Planning

November 10   - Holiday Store final touches, January Events

December 15 - Family Fun night planning

January 19 - Family Fun night final touches, Spring dance ideas

February 16 - World's Finest Chocolate Fundraiser planning

March 16 - Fundraiser Wrap-up, Spring Dance planning

April 13 - Spring Dance final touches, Nominations for 2016-17 officers

May 18 - End of Year Wrap-Up, Officers for next year begin planning for August

May 19 - Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast 9:00-10:00am
