2018-2019 Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

The Altura PTO is open to all of the Altura community.  It's not just about attending a monthly meeting.  If you enjoy giving back to your school by volunteering, planning events that build a fun and unified community, or fundraising to help give our students amazing experiences then join the PTO!  Here are just a few of the things PTO planned, funded, worked, or supported in 2018-2019:

Buses for all field trips, ELA Curriculum, Portable Shade Structures, Bounce houses for field day, Psychology Curriculum, Spring Formal, World's Finest Chocolate fundraiser, Conference dinners for staff and interpreters, Teacher Appreciation breakfast, Staff Welcome Back breakfast, Skate City nights, Attendance gift cards, PARCC Kona Ice celebration, Kindergarten Picnic, 5th grade continuation, the Carnival, Muffins for Moms Kinder event, and supplies for the Health Office.

We meet one Thursday a month from 3:15 to 4:30pm. You don't have to attend every single meeting.  Here are the dates for this year:

September 6 - Welcome, Year Events Preview, Carnival planning

October 4 -  Veteran's Day Celebration; Carnival Planning; Conferences

November 1   - Graduation Ideas; Holidays 

February 12 - World's Finest Chocolate Fundraiser planning

March 19 - Spring Formal planning

April 9 - 

May 7 - End of Year Wrap-Up, Voting, Officers for next year begin planning for August

May 17- Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast 9:00-10:00am
